Get to know me
Hi Academicians!
I'm Radhika Kamdar, a certified editor from the Board of Editors for Life Sciences (BELS), and I’m passionate about helping researchers tell their stories to the world. Driven by a deep-rooted curiosity about the mechanisms of life, I embarked on a journey that led me to earn a PhD in Molecular Biology from the Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan. However, this was just the beginning!
With a foundation built on a BSc in Microbiology and Biochemistry and an MSc in Biophysics, my passion for unraveling the intricacies of life has guided me through my academic and professional pursuits. My postdoctoral research experiences at Emory University School of Medicine in the USA and the Karolinska Institute in Sweden sharpened my skills in critical analysis, data interpretation, and scholarly writing. It was in these global hubs of innovation that I truly discovered the power of clear, concise communication in science.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of authoring and reviewing a wide range of research articles in fields as diverse as Molecular Biology, Genomics, Clinical Immunology, Radiation Oncology, and Microbiology. My experiences have given me a unique insight into the nuances of academic writing, especially when English isn’t the first language of the author. I’ve collaborated with brilliant minds worldwide, helping them express their ideas clearly and effectively on an international platform.
Editing over 10,000 articles as a freelance biomedical editor has instilled in me that every manuscript should be exemplary and deserves to be presented with clarity and precision. Whether it’s refining the logical flow of an argument, correcting grammatical nuances, or polishing the overall presentation, I’m dedicated to ensuring that each piece of work I touch meets the highest standards required by top-tier journals.
Nonetheless, life isn’t all about academia. When I’m not editing, you can find me weaving stories on Wattpad, diving into historical and mythological articles, or binge-watching a good docuseries. My love for travel has earned me the nickname “globetrotter” among friends, and I pride myself on being a true “citizen of the world.” Exploring new cultures and languages not only fuels my personal growth but also enriches my ability to adapt to the ever-changing landscape of academic writing.
I’m here to support researchers in achieving excellence in scientific communication. Whether you're a seasoned author or new to publishing, I’m confident that my experience, qualifications, and passion will make a meaningful impact on your work.
Looking forward to connecting!
